JL Industries 2556 Clear Vu Semi-Recessed Fire Extinguisher Cabinet, 1 1/4" Square Trim, Brass

The JL Industries 2556 is a Clear Vu series semi-recessed fire extinguisher cabinet in brass with 1 1/4" square trim, built around a 14" x 30" x 4" tub. Clear Vu is the acrylic bubble cabinet for one or two fire extinguishers. The acrylic bubble allows 180-degree extinguisher visibility and projects 2-1/2" on the 1500 Series and 3-1/2" on the 2500 and 4500 Series. Trim and door are offered in five materials - cold rolled steel, 304 stainless steel, aluminum, bronze or brass - with white powder coat, #4 stainless, clear anodized aluminum, US10 satin bronze or US3 polished brass finishes. The tub is white powder coated cold rolled steel, matching the trim material on surface mount cabinets, and the extinguisher must be mounted to the back of the tub with a J-hook.

Fits: Cosmic 2.5 lb - 10 lb and FE20A, Galaxy, Mercury, Sentinel 5 lb - 15 lb, Saturn, Grenadier, Nebula 250-272 (20 lb Cosmic and Galaxy mount on the back of the tub).

Door style: Acrylic Bubble, Acrylic Bubble + Saf-T-Lok. Saf-T-Lok (SL-LC) is the standard lock for most locking cabinets: a theft-deterrent keyed cylinder lock used instead of a break glass lock lever, since breaking glass in a panic can injure people and create liability. The door appears locked and is, but a sharp pull breaks or bends a replaceable plastic cam and opens it. The cam is 1-5/8" x 1" x 3/32" and is replaced with a Phillips head screwdriver.

Glazing: Clear Vu uses acrylic bubbles: 25 clear, 26 red and 27 bronze, with the red bubble available only on 15xx bubble cabinets.

Pull / handle: Pull handles are 4" CTC in finishes matching the cabinet material, with a standard zinc pull (PUS); a recessed flush pull is available on request.

Colored powder-coat finishes, magnetic catches, decorative bronze or brass pulls, Futura cast handles, wired glass and alarms are available on request — ask for a quote with your model number.
