What it is

Amerex 720 is a 10 lb ABC dry chemical fire extinguisher rated 1A:20B:C for ordinary combustibles, flammable liquids and gases, and live electrical equipment. Discharge runs 10 seconds with an initial range of 15 to 25 ft at 195 PSIG. The agent is a specially fluidized and siliconized mono ammonium phosphate that melts and coats the burning surface, insulating Class A fuel and breaking the chain reaction on Class B fires. The cylinder is drawn-steel with a chrome-plated brass valve body, stainless steel handle and lever. A wall bracket ships with the extinguisher. The operating temperature range is −65°F to 120°F.

Some hazards demand agent on the fire faster than a standard extinguisher can deliver. The Amerex 720 is a high-flow 10 lb ABC unit built for exactly those applications, the ones NFPA 10 identifies as requiring discharge rates exceeding one pound per second. It averages 1.22 lb per second, twice the flow rate of standard models, emptying in roughly 10 seconds with a 15 to 25 foot reach. Hardware and UL specifications match Amerex's compliance-rated products: a dependable drawn steel cylinder, all-metal valve construction around a heavy-duty chrome-plated brass valve body, a stainless steel handle and lever, and a large loop stainless steel pull pin. Rated 1A:20B:C, UL Listed and NFPA 10 compliant.

  • High-flow design: 1.22 lb/sec average discharge rate, twice the flow of standard models
  • 10 second discharge time with a 15-25 ft discharge range
  • Heavy-duty brass valve, chrome plated body with stainless steel handle and lever
  • Large loop stainless steel pull pin; QR coded and multilingual labels
  • Rated for -65F to 120F service and backed by a 6-year manufacturer's warranty
