What it is

Amerex 760 is a 20 lb ABC dry chemical fire extinguisher rated 4A:60B:C for ordinary combustibles, flammable liquids and gases, and live electrical equipment. Discharge runs 19 seconds with an initial range of 15 to 25 ft at 195 PSIG. The agent is a specially fluidized and siliconized mono ammonium phosphate that melts and coats the burning surface, insulating Class A fuel and breaking the chain reaction on Class B fires. The cylinder is drawn-steel with a chrome-plated brass valve body, stainless steel handle and lever. A wall bracket ships with the extinguisher. The operating temperature range is −65°F to 120°F.

When a high-hazard process needs both volume and speed, the Amerex 760 pairs a 20 lb ABC dry chemical charge with a high-flow design, the kind NFPA 10 calls for wherever discharge rates above one pound per second are required. It moves agent at twice the rate of a standard model, and its 4A:60B:C rating means one extinguisher answers ordinary combustibles, flammable liquids and energized electrical equipment. Underneath, the build follows standard Amerex portable practice: a drawn steel cylinder, an all-metal valve assembly and a high gloss polyester powder paint finish meant to survive industrial service. Its valve body is heavy duty chrome plated brass; the handle and lever are stainless steel. Labels are printed bilingually.

  • Moves agent at twice the flow rate of a standard model for high-flow applications
  • 20 lb ABC dry chemical charge, UL rated 4A:60B:C
  • Brass valve: heavy duty chrome plated body, stainless steel handle and lever
  • Drawn steel cylinder finished in high gloss polyester powder paint
  • Bilingual labels for mixed-language work sites
