What it is
Cato ALC22002, ordered as 22002 and previously catalogued as the 220-RB, is a protective cover for a recessed mounted fire alarm pull station, moulded in high density polypropylene in red. The opening method is security break bar with scored acrylic panel. The cover inside dimension is 6-1/4" W x 7-1/4" H x 1-3/4" D and the outside dimension is 7-1/2" W x 8-1/4" H x 2-1/4" D, at 1.5 lb. It arrives fully assembled with mounting hardware and anchors, and the pull handle at the top is designed to ADA specifications. No gasket is fitted.

Use the recessed mount version where the pull station is set inside a wall cut-out. Ordering the wrong one is the usual mistake: the two are not interchangeable.

Does the Cato ALC22002 fit a surface or a recessed pull station?
Recessed mount. Use it where the alarm sits inside a wall cut-out. The surface and recessed versions are not interchangeable.
How is the ALC22002 opened in an emergency?
The scored acrylic panel is struck with the galvanized steel break bar supplied on a cable; a side slot stores the bar.
Is a gasket included?
No. If you need a weather or wash-down seal, order the gasketed version of this cover instead.
