Description

JL Industries 14x5F12FX2 Lifestart Fire-Rated (Fire-FX2) Recessed AED Cabinet with Alarm, 3/8" Flat Trim Trim. The Lifestart series is JL Industries' AED cabinet line, sized for any brand of AED. Models are offered in steel, aluminum and stainless steel in four trim styles: 3/8" flat trim, 1-1/2" square, 3" rolled and surface mount square. Every model includes a commander alarm, an on/off switch and AED graphics. Tub sizes for AED cabinets are 14" x 14" x 6-3/4", 18" x 18" x 8" and 14" x 37" x 7". The three recessed trims meet the ADA projection requirement of 4" or less. The Fire-FX2 fire-rated option is available on AED cabinets, and a magnetic catch can be specified on the 1400 series.

Includes commander alarm, on/off switch and AED graphics. Pricing is NET, not list.

Material: choose steel (white powder coat), aluminum (clear anodized) or stainless steel (#4 satin) on this page.

Fire-FX2 is the fire-rated cabinet option, ordered by adding the FX2 suffix to the model number. JL Industries led the industry by introducing the first pre-lined fire-rated cabinets in 1991, and in 2015 eliminated the heavy gypsum wallboard used to line cabinets, replacing it with lightweight mineral wool insulation. The cabinets are UL tested to maintain one and two-hour fire rated wall barriers, in accordance with ANSI/UL-1479 (ASTM E814 and ULC.CAN S115) for membrane penetration firestops. That matters because cutting a cabinet opening into a rated wall is a membrane penetration. Fire-rated construction changes the rough opening, shown in brackets in every series table, and knockouts are not available on fire-rated cabinets.

All fire protection products carry a one year warranty after the date of shipment against defects in materials and workmanship, and the manufacturer will replace or repair any product found defective within this period at its discretion. No other warranty expressed or implied is valid; fire extinguishers may carry a longer warranty and manufacturer's warranty terms and conditions apply in all cases.
