What it is
JL Industries Orbit FE10VB (FE10VB) is a 10 lb portable fire extinguisher charged with specially fluidized and siliconized mono ammonium phosphate powder and UL rated 4A:80B:C for Class A, B and C fires. It stands 23" tall and 9" wide, on a 3-1/2" deep vessel, and ships at 22 lb. The vessel is non-magnetic tempered aluminum with an aluminum valve, with a visual pressure gauge and pull pin. The operating temperature range is -40°F (-40°C) to 120°F (49°C). A button hook and washer ship with it for wall mounting. JL does not recommend ABC dry chemical for use on sensitive electronic equipment.
The JL Industries FE10VB is the Orbit FE10VB, a 10 lb portable fire extinguisher in JL's Orbit series, charged with specially fluidized and siliconized mono ammonium phosphate powder and UL rated 4A:80B:C for Class A, B and C fires. It is specified for corridors, lobbies and other finished spaces where a slim wall profile matters. The powder smothers and breaks the chain reaction on Class B fires, fuses and insulates Class A fires, and is a non-conductor of electricity. JL states the Orbit vessel is as much as 40 percent slimmer than a traditional 10 lb model and is compliant with ADA protruding object regulations and local building codes.
