What it is
JL Industries Cosmic 20E (FE20C) is a 20 lb portable fire extinguisher charged with specially fluidized and siliconized mono ammonium phosphate powder and UL rated 10A-120B:C for Class A, B and C fires. It stands 21-1/4" tall and 8-3/4" wide over the hose and handle, on a 7-1/2" diameter cylinder, and ships at 33.5 lb. The cylinder is heavy-duty steel with an aluminum valve, with a visual pressure gauge and pull pin. The operating temperature range is -65°F (-53°C) to 120°F (49°C). A J-hook wall bracket ships with it as standard, and the Mark MB811C bracket is available separately. JL does not recommend ABC dry chemical for use on sensitive electronic equipment.
The JL Industries FE20C is the Cosmic 20E, a 20 lb portable fire extinguisher in JL's Cosmic series, charged with specially fluidized and siliconized mono ammonium phosphate powder and UL rated 10A-120B:C for Class A, B and C fires. It is specified for offices, classrooms, churches, parking garages and retail spaces. The powder smothers and breaks the chain reaction on Class B fires, fuses and insulates Class A fires, and is a non-conductor of electricity. It is non-toxic.

- US Coast Guard: Approved. The owner's manual notes that USCG approval is valid only when the extinguisher is fitted with the approved marine-type bracket named on its nameplate.
- In the box: the extinguisher with a J-hook wall bracket as standard; the Mark MB811C mounting bracket is available separately at extra charge.
- Cabinet mounting: The catalog requires this 20 lb unit to be mounted on the back of the cabinet tub rather than standing on the cabinet floor.
- Charging: Ships factory charged.
- Application limits: JL does not recommend ABC dry chemical for use on sensitive electronic equipment.

Sized to the cabinet tables in JL's fire protection catalog. JL's cabinet selection guide asks for at least 1" of clearance in height, width and depth over the extinguisher's own dimensions.
