What it is
JL Industries Galaxy 2-1/2 (FG02C) is a 2-1/2 lb portable fire extinguisher charged with a siliconized sodium bicarbonate dry chemical and UL rated 10B:C for Class B and C fires. It stands 14-3/4" tall and 4-7/8" wide over the hose and handle, on a 3-3/8" diameter cylinder, and ships at 5.5 lb. The cylinder is heavy-duty steel with an aluminum valve, with a visual pressure gauge and pull pin. The operating temperature range is -65°F (-53°C) to 120°F (49°C). A Mark MB817C bracket ships with it as standard. Dry chemical is not recommended for fires in delicate electronic equipment; the fire may be put out but the equipment can be damaged beyond repair.
The JL Industries FG02C is the Galaxy 2-1/2, a 2-1/2 lb portable fire extinguisher in JL's Galaxy series, charged with a siliconized sodium bicarbonate dry chemical and UL rated 10B:C for Class B and C fires. It is specified for flammable liquid hazards in light manufacturing facilities, vehicle, aircraft and marine service centers, and retail stores. Cleanup after use is generally easy because the chemical does not normally bake to a hot metal surface. It is non-toxic.

Sized to the cabinet tables in JL's fire protection catalog. JL's cabinet selection guide asks for at least 1" of clearance in height, width and depth over the extinguisher's own dimensions.
