What it is
JL Industries Mark MB817C is a steel wall or vehicle mounting bracket for JL Industries C model portable fire extinguishers, finished in red epoxy powder paint and tested to UL 240. It fits Cosmic 2-1/2 (FE02C), Galaxy 2-1/2 (FG02C), Mercury 2-1/2 (FM02C) and Purple K 2-1/2. The strap assembly is 8" long and 1-3/4" wide and is backed with foam tape. JL supplies this bracket as standard with Cosmic 2-1/2, Galaxy 2-1/2, Mercury 2-1/2, Purple K 2-1/2, so it is already in the box on those models. UL requires a hanging device to withstand five times the weight of the charged extinguisher and not less than 100 pounds. Wall fasteners are not included.
The JL Industries Mark MB817C is a steel wall or vehicle mounting bracket for JL's C model portable fire extinguishers. JL supplies a J-hook as standard with most extinguishers; the Mark brackets are the strap and latch style option used where the extinguisher has to be held positively, such as on a vehicle, in a corridor subject to knocks, or inside a cabinet tub. It fits Cosmic 2-1/2 (FE02C), Galaxy 2-1/2 (FG02C), Mercury 2-1/2 (FM02C) and Purple K 2-1/2.
