What it is
JL Industries Mark MB846C is a 14 gauge cold rolled steel wall or vehicle mounting bracket for JL Industries C model portable fire extinguishers, finished in red epoxy powder paint and tested to UL 240. It fits Cosmic 10E (FE10C and FE10CBV), Galaxy 10 (FG10C) and Purple K 10 (FPK10C). The strap assembly is 15" long and 2" wide, 10.38" between centers, and is backed with foam tape. JL supplies a J-hook as standard with these extinguishers, so this bracket is the optional strap and latch upgrade. UL requires a hanging device to withstand five times the weight of the charged extinguisher and not less than 100 pounds. Wall fasteners are not included.
The JL Industries Mark MB846C is a steel wall or vehicle mounting bracket for JL's C model portable fire extinguishers. JL supplies a J-hook as standard with most extinguishers; the Mark brackets are the strap and latch style option used where the extinguisher has to be held positively, such as on a vehicle, in a corridor subject to knocks, or inside a cabinet tub.
