What it is
JL Industries Mark MB818C is a 14 gauge cold rolled steel wall or vehicle mounting bracket for JL Industries C model portable fire extinguishers, finished in red epoxy powder paint and tested to UL 240. It fits Cosmic 5E (FE05C and FE05CBV), Mercury 5 (FM05C), Galaxy 5-1/2 (FG055C) and Purple K 5 (FPK05C). The strap assembly is 7-3/8" long and 1-3/4" wide and is backed with foam tape. JL supplies this bracket as standard with Cosmic 5B, so it is already in the box on those models. UL requires a hanging device to withstand five times the weight of the charged extinguisher and not less than 100 pounds. Wall fasteners are not included.
The JL Industries Mark MB818C is a steel wall or vehicle mounting bracket for JL's C model portable fire extinguishers. JL supplies a J-hook as standard with most extinguishers; the Mark brackets are the strap and latch style option used where the extinguisher has to be held positively, such as on a vehicle, in a corridor subject to knocks, or inside a cabinet tub. It fits Cosmic 5E (FE05C and FE05CBV), Mercury 5 (FM05C), Galaxy 5-1/2 (FG055C) and Purple K 5 (FPK05C).
